Mechanical Bull (Deluxe)

Mechanical Bull (Deluxe)

RCA Records announces the September 24 release of the new Kings of Leon record, Mechanical Bull. Angelo Petraglia produced the album, which was recorded at the band s studio in Nashville, TN.
Kings of Leon are fresh off three acclaimed headlining performances at American festivals, Bottle Rock in Napa, CA, Hangout in Gulf Shores, AL, and, most recently, this past weekend's Governor's Ball in New York City, during which the festival cancelled the band's Friday night performance due to Tropical Storm Andrea. The band, upset over the cancellation, worked through the night with festival organizers and management to figure out a way to come back on Saturday. The festival found a place for them on the main stage right before the Saturday headliner, during which the fans were treated to the live premiere of Mechanical Bull's first single, "Supersoaker."

A Family Christmas is filled with the diverse components that have typified the "TPG Twist" fun, irreverent combinations that people find refreshing. The album features new takes on Christmas classics such as "Let it Snow," "Winter Wonderland" and "Silent Night," as well as two original compositions from Jon Schmidt and Steven Sharp Nelson. And, for the first time since their breakthrough video of "What Makes You Beautiful," all four of The Piano Guys perform together for a remarkable version of "Angels We Have Heard on High," which will be supported by a new YouTube video. Says Schmidt, "We spent a lot of time crafting the album so that there's something for everybody. It's an opportunity to jam and dance around the house while decorating the tree as well as the chance to sit back with somebody you love and look at the fireplace."

2013 collection from the R&B trio. Entitled 20 as a nod to the group's 20-year-plus career, the album features TLC's biggest hits (including their four #1 singles, "Creep," "Waterfalls," "No Scrubs," and "Unpretty"), plus a new track written by Ne-Yo, "Meant To Be." The latter can be heard during the closing credits of the VH1 Original Movie, CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story, which inspired the track-listing for 20. The film, which stars Keke Palmer as Chilli, Drew Sidora as Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins, and Lil Mama as Lisa "Left Eye" Lopez, chronicles TLC's humble beginnings in Atlanta and unprecedented rise to fame in the '90s.

This packed double-disc is the slim option for fans who find the Eagles' vaunted greatest hits sets too little and the boxed set too hefty. Hit singles large and medium are here, often ("One of These Nights," "Hotel California") still sounding definitive and even tough. Large helpings of favorite album cuts are also included, along with a taster from a promised 2004 Eagles studio reunion. Unfortunately, "Hole in the World," Don Henley's response to September 11, feels just as empty and entitled as "Get Over It," the band's previous state-of-the-union message (from which the newer song represents a philosophical 180-degree turn). But for those seeking an overview of this Southern California juggernaut's successes, as well as telling comments from band members--mostly Henley and Frey--in a well-designed booklet, Very Best will more than do. --Rickey Wright
Product Description
33 career-spanning hits and album favorites on 2 CDs. Includes Take It Easy; Witchy Woman; Peaceful Easy Feeling; Desperado; Already Gone; James Dean; The Best of My Love; Lyin' Eyes; One of These Nights; Take It to the Limit; Hotel California; Life in the Fast Lane , and more. Unbeatable!

In 2010, Virginia native Jonathan Russell and California transplant Josiah Johnson formed the core songwriting partnership of The Head and The Heart in their new hometown of Seattle. The band was quickly rounded out with the addition of drummer Tyler Williams, keyboardist Kenny Hensley, vocalist/violinist Charity Rose Thielen and bassist Chris Zasche. Their 2011 debut album on Sub Pop became one of the label s best-selling debut releases to date. In a few short months The Head and The Heart went from playing open mic nights to selling out San Francisco s Fillmore, Seattle s Paramount Theatre, New York s Terminal 5 and more, building a loyal fan base across the country.

The 2013 album, Let s Be Still, is a snapshot of a band that didn't exist just four short years ago. The album was recorded at Seattle's Studio Litho with assistance from prior production collaborator Shawn Simmons. Later, the band traversed the country to mix the album in Bridgeport, CT, with Peter Katis, revered for his work with bands such as the National, Interpol, and the Swell Season.

Nine-time Grammy award-winner Sheryl Crow presents her highly anticipated 2013 album, Feels Like Home, the first country record of her career and features her hit single, "Easy." Each track on the album was co-written with another songwriter, which is a first for Crow, including Grammy award-winner Brad Paisley.

"It wasn't until I moved here that I realized what an amazing community it is, " said Crow of working on Feels Like Home in Nashville, Tenn." It's the thing I've been missing my whole career, the feeling of being able to sit around with a guitar and have people know each other's songs and know songs from people who've influenced all of us. When I moved here pretty early on Vince Gill started calling me to do guitar pulls, and I thought, gosh, this is just like heaven on earth down here. "
